Enjoy a sailing day out with Sailing Breaks, sailing in comfort aboard HALF NELSON, a Swedish 34ft luxury yacht, on the Solent.
We sail on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday from Ocean Village Marina in Southampton, meeting at 1000 and returning alongside around 1630.
The whole sailing day is very informal and relaxed with no set routine. We usually sail about 20 miles during the day with a stop for lunch ashore, at Cowes or one of the other top marinas.
Half day sailing on Thursdays, starts after lunch at 1300.
Beginners and experts are all welcome to take the wheel and take an active part in sailing Half Nelson or just sit back in the well protected cockpit and enjoy the thrill of sailing. Helpful advice is always on hand from your skipper, a Royal Yachting Association Yachtmaster.
It is not necessary to be able to swim nor is any previous sailing experience or special clothing required to enjoy the day afloat.
